Senior sales manager - wm business management (m/f)
Banque Internationale à Luxembourg is the oldest bank in Luxembourg. Founded in 1856, BIL is a key player in the Retail Banking, Private Banking, Corporate Banking and Treasury and Financial Markets. These businesses are backed up by strong Support functions and by our Operational departments.
In order to reinforce our Business Management Team, we are currently recruiting a:

Senior Sales Manager (M/F) – WM Business Management

Key objectives of the job : 
  • Assist the Head Sales Management to reach WM sales and revenue objectives through the establishment and implementation of an efficient and effective sales process across the different markets and locations 
  • Provide the Wealth Management Board (WMB) members and their respective business lines with Sales performance transparency on revenue Key Levers through the implementation of KPIs' dashboards 
  • Co-participate with Finance/Performance Management to the budget definition across Wealth Management

Deliverables and key activities :
  • Responsible for identifying and implementing Sales & Pricing improvement measures while ensuring stringent monitoring;  
  • Participate to the development and the implementation of “Organic Growth” initiatives and ensure those initiatives are duly monitored and the results communicated;
  • Accelerate the growth engine by being a key contributor of the implementation and the monitoring of the prospecting pipeline and related activities; 
  • Respond to internal client needs on Sales figures and the need for more in-depth analysis;
  • Work closely with Performance Management to ensure that Sales & Performance KPIs' are in place and Performance Management reports highlight the Sales Key Levers and derived trends in a systematic way.
  • On a recurrent basis, conduct “deep dive” analysis on specific Sales KPIs. 
  • Contribute to profitability and income enhancement measures;  
  • Contribute to the successful implementation of the new Investment Process where Markets Representatives have to engage and commit to delivering results;
  • Insure that adequate training/education is provided to the Front office employees in relation to the launch of new investment solutions and/or new or existing sales tools;
  • Act as a slot coordinator and contributor to the morning meetings and to participate to sales meetings at Markets level when/where necessary
  • Assess, clarify, and validate Sales Front office needs on an ongoing basis proactively

Required knowledge and experience :

Education (orientation):
Business Administration, Cost & Management Control, Finance, Accounting

Education (required level): 
Master II

Languages :
English (mandatory). French, German or Luxemburgish is an asset

Other required knowledge:
  • In-depth understanding of Private Banking KPIs (quantitative and qualitative)
  • Profound understanding of Private Banking activity and offering from a cross-border perspective
  • Expert knowledge of key business drivers (both on big picture and on a more detailed level)

6 to 10 years in Sales & Pricing Management preferably in the Financial industry. Cost & Business Management Control, Finance, Controlling, 

More requirements:
  • High level of analytical skills to interact with WMB Members 
  • Good interpersonal skills to build trusted relationship with all internal stakeholders in WM and outside (e.g. Finance, BI)
  • Good communication skills both orally and in written documentation
  • Good data-mining skills
