Job description

This position reports directly to the CFO and is responsible for managing the coordination of global tax strategies and local tax compliance across the entire group of over 70 entities.  Operations are based primarily in Luxembourg and Hungary with additional offices located in the US, Netherlands, France, Italy and Hong Kong. 

What you will really be doing

Drive tax compliance and strategy for multiple tax disciplines including CIT, VAT and transfer pricing 
Provide proactive tax advice with respect to the group’s operations and the tax impacts of various transactions including corporate restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, launch and structuring of new and existing business units.
Manage both direct and indirect reports and multiple local service providers
Oversee the preparation of corporate tax returns, VAT returns, dividend WHT returns,  tax provisions and other filing requirements
Review third party documents and contracts from a tax perspective
Advise in the design and implementation of business, corporate and intra-company agreements
Work globally and cross-functionally with the legal, finance and business teams 
Liaise with local tax authorities 
Provide day-to-day tax advice on general regulations, monitoring and advising the business on upcoming regulatory changes
Develop and enhance Tax policies and procedures


At least 12 years or more of relevant professional experience in International Tax and Luxembourg Local/Corporate Taxation
Experience working across multiple tax disciplines including Luxembourg Corporate Tax, International Tax, Transfer Pricing, VAT and Business Tax reporting
Comfortable working in a dynamic and multicultural environment
Experience working in a law firm, Big Four and/or global in-house practice 
Masters degree in Economy, Tax, Finance or related disciplines is a plus
Knowledge of US Corporate and Individual Taxation is an asset
Must be able to demonstrate strong attention to details, organizational skills, sound judgement and logical decision making abilities
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Flexible and open-minded
Proficiency in the use of MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook 
Excellent oral and written command of English, Hungarian is a plus
